Freemasons donate to support parents

We are thrilled to announce we have benefitted from the generosity of Shropshire’s Freemasons.

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Shropshire – which comprises more than 1,200 members across 36 local lodges - donated £500 to PEGS, with a further £300 gifted by the Sabrina Lodge in Shrewsbury as part of its centenary celebrations.

Allen Cadman explained that the county’s Freemasons gave on average £35,000 a year to different organisations, raised by their members as part of their commitment to their own lodge and The United Grand Lodge of England.

Michelle John, PEGS Founding Director, added: “On behalf of all of the parents, carers and guardians experiencing Child to Parent Abuse who will benefit from this donation, we would like to say a huge thank you to the Freemasons for their generosity.

“It’s fantastic to see people within Shropshire so willing to help others, and donate to organisations such as PEGS.”
