PEGS Honoured at Shrewsbury Mayor’s Awards for Community Contribution
We are absolutely delighted to share that PEGS has been recognised at the 2025 Shrewsbury Mayor’s Awards for our contribution to the local community.
This special event, held annually by Shrewsbury Town Council, honours individuals, organisations, and groups who go above and beyond to make a difference in the lives of others. Our Founding Director, Michelle, attended the awards ceremony on behalf of the PEGS team,
accepting the recognition with heartfelt pride and gratitude. “This award belongs to every member of the PEGS team,” Michelle shared on the night. “Each one of them brings empathy, dedication, and strength to everything we do. I’m so proud to stand alongside
such compassionate individuals who work tirelessly to support families experiencing child-to-parent abuse and coercive control. This recognition from our local community means the world to us.”
Being acknowledged among Shrewsbury’s local heroes is a huge honour. PEGS was founded to ensure that no parent, carer, or guardian feels isolated or silenced by the often-misunderstood dynamic of child-to-parent abuse. Since launching, we’ve grown into a national service—but our roots remain firmly planted in Shrewsbury, where the heart of our work continues to beat.
This award reflects not just what we do, but how we do it—with care, with persistence, and with the belief that change is always possible.
We want to thank Shrewsbury Town Council and the Mayor of Shrewsbury for this recognition. To be nominated and celebrated alongside so many inspiring individuals and organisations reminds us just how powerful community spirit can be. And most of all—thank you to the families who trust us to walk alongside them. You are our reason for showing up, every single day.
