Service Shoutout: Norfolk Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (NIDAS)
Each month, we take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on an organisation making a difference. This month, we're proud to recognise Norfolk Integrated Domestic Abuse Service (NIDAS) and the invaluable work they do to support people impacted by domestic abuse across Norfolk.
NIDAS provides specialist support for people in Norfolk, delivered through a partnership of Leeway, The Daisy Programme, and Safe Partnership, the service brings together a wide range of expertise to ensure individuals and families receive coordinated, compassionate support.
Alongside Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) support, NIDAS offers dedicated support for children and young people, recovery programmes, court support, multi-agency working, a Domestic Abuse Champion Network, and training for professionals. Their collaborative approach helps strengthen responses to domestic abuse across Norfolk while ensuring those accessing support are met with understanding, safety and expertise.
We were privileged to be invited to contribute to the recent NIDAS online learning event, where our Training Lead delivered a Child to Parent Abuse Awareness Session to more than 80 registered Domestic Abuse Champions. It was an incredible opportunity to raise awareness of Child to Parent Abuse, share knowledge, and contribute to the ongoing professional development of those supporting individuals and families impacted by abuse.
Reflecting on the experience, our Training Lead shared:
"It was a privilege to speak at the NIDAS online learning event, alongside an organisation that is genuinely committed to being part of the change. Meaningful progress happens when we come together. A huge thank you to NIDAS for the fantastic work you do around domestic abuse."
To everyone at NIDAS, thank you for the incredible work you do every day. We are grateful to work alongside an organisation that is committed to supporting people impacted by domestic abuse, empowering professionals through learning, and continually striving to improve outcomes for families.
We look forward to continuing to learn from one another, and working together towards a future where every family receives the understanding and support they deserve.
